Andrea (Andy) Cleeton
Andrea (Andy) has been fusing glass since the early 2000’s when she took a class to see what it was like. From there she has developed into a Fused Glass Fanatic and continues to seek out classes and techniques to develop her skills.
Andy is a member of the Art Bazaar, a local artist’s co-op next to the Village Art Studio, and her creations can be purchased there.
In 2015 Andy was asked to participate in the Fountain of Hope project creating glass tiles for a cancer memorial fountain in downtown Jefferson City.
Andy also has her art work hanging in the Capital Region Hospital north wing.
Andy is a passionate, easy-going instructor who is excited to introduce people to the wonderful world of glass.
Fused Glass Classes
Classes in fused glass are offered several times a month. Beautiful works of useful art are created such as holiday ornaments, bowls, and other decorative items. Private lessons are also available for individuals or groups.

A native of mid-Missouri, Ann DeRosier grew up with the influences of her European ancestors on her thinking and her artwork. The architecture of the area, home artwork, and teaching from various schools stressed traditional basics in thought and artistic expression. A strong belief in the importance of good technical skills has laid the foundation for her work in any media. However, through her own development and understanding, the element of expression of the soul has taken on a more important role. Focusing on a variety of media at this time, she emphasizes good technique while expressing personal thoughts during her classes.
Ann teaches Homeschool art classes (ages 5-13), a day time adult clay class and an evening clay class. She also offers specific project classes which are completed in two sessions…perfect for groups, parties or anyone interested in the specific work. Ann has received a B.S. in Art, a teaching certificate, and a Master’s degree in Art Education. She has taught elementary, college, and has retired from teaching at Jefferson City High School.
In 2014 she opened the Village Art Studio with two other retired art teachers. It’s a perfect way to stay creative, to be with interesting and interested people and to enjoy all that ART has to offer. What a life!
Hand Building with Clay – Tuesday mornings (11:30-1:30) or Thursday evenings (6:00-8:00 pm)

A sequenced curriculum is available for motivation or the student can come in with an idea in mind and Ann will guide them into its creation. In a relaxing, safe atmosphere, the student can experiment with ideas to create their own unique project while learning the 3 hand building techniques. The artwork that has come out of this class is top notch!
